Chamak Pataka wasn’t born in a boardroom or after an intense market research session. It was born over years of sending each other jewellery links, borrowing (and occasionally stealing) each other’s earrings, and enabling every “Should I buy this?” with an enthusiastic “Obviously.”
One of us lives in statement earrings. One is forever dreaming up jewellery ideas. One falls in love with the tiniest details and romanticises life just a little too much. Turns out, having completely different tastes is exactly what makes us work.
Today, we’re building the kind of jewellery brand we always wanted to exist- playful, inclusive, rooted in Indian craftsmanship, and full of pieces that feel like an extension of you.
NILOPHER- The Storyteller
After years of producing branded content for some of the country’s leading brands, Nilopher decided it was time to tell a story of her own.
If you’ve worked with her, chances are you remember two things—her ideas and her earrings. Somewhere between client meetings, production sets and endless deadlines, statement jewellery quietly became part of her signature. Long before Chamak Pataka existed, she was already the person people asked, “Where did you get those earrings?”
She firmly believes the right pair of earrings can rescue almost any outfit and your mood. She also has a remarkably convincing case for how statement jewellery is a perfectly practical self-defence tool.
NAUREEN- The Maker
By day, Naureen works in global talent sourcing. The rest of the time, she’s usually dreaming up jewellery ideas that she totally rocks in and everyone ends up loving.
She loves making tiny trinkets, experimenting with materials and imagining how a piece could look just a little different. Equal parts practical and creative, she’s proof that spreadsheets and sparkles can absolutely coexist.
She has a knack for looking at things from a unique perspective. It’s probably why she’s almost always the one asking, “Why are we doing it this way in the first place?”
SHRUTTI- The Dreamer
Fresh out of law school, Shrutti firmly believes life is meant to be romanticised.
She loves discovering new trends, but rarely follows them as they are. Instead, she picks the bits she loves, ignores the rest, and somehow makes everything feel uniquely her own. Whether it’s jewellery, fashion or everyday moments, she’s always chasing the little things that make life feel beautiful.
She’s usually the one reminding us that sometimes it’s the smallest details people remember the most. And honestly, she’s rarely wrong.
Our little sister and honorary member, VEDICAA
If Chamak Pataka had an official Chief Fun Officer, it’d be her. The youngest, the loudest (depending on the day), and the Gen Z representative we didn’t know we needed.
She has a natural flair for PR and marketing, somehow always knows what’s trending before the rest of us do, and comes up with the quirkiest ideas when you least expect it. She’s also our on-demand model, biggest hype person, and always the first to say, “Guys… I have an idea.”
We definitely thought we’d be able to boss around the youngest. Let’s just say, that didn’t quite work out.
And then there's NILAVO
Not technically a founder, but definitely family.
A brand expert by profession, our closest friend by choice, unofficial sounding board, occasional voice of reason, and the very patient human who’s been modelling for us since Day One, even before Chamak Pataka knew what it wanted to become.
Also, we don’t know how, but he always manages to make every piece look effortlessly cool.
So obviously, you’ll be seeing a lot of him around here.
Finally, the REAL BOSSES
Our four-legged board of directors.
It all started with Paw, our very first doggo, also lovingly known as Bobo, who could rock a gangster chain with more suave than all of us combined. We lost him in 2024, but he taught us how to love and that love made us realise there’s always room in our heart for more. Since then, we’ve somehow ended up with quite the collection of our own.
There’s Cheetah, the diva who knows she’s the main character. Pepper, the wonderfully spicy rescue who runs the house with quiet authority. Proton, Neutron, and Atom (who only responds to Chhoti). Winnie, who somehow gets away with everything. Whiskey, our first Goa rescue. And the newest tiny troublemaker, Wick.
If you’re wondering why we’re working so hard to make Chamak Pataka a success…
Let’s just say the dream backyard, cat food, dog treats, vet bills, and unnecessary toys won’t pay for themselves.
